Blair stronger communities grants open
Community groups throughout the Blair electorate are encouraged to apply for the next round of the Blair Stronger Communities Programme.
Shayne Neumann, Federal MP for Blair, said the latest round of grants include a $10,000 payment to the Linville Progress Association’s community garden hardscaping project.
“This is an excellent opportunity for community and not-for-profit organisations to access some Federal Government funding,” Mr Neumann said.
“The past few years have been incredibly challenging for not-for-profit and community groups, which is why eligible organisations may be able to receive up to 100 per cent of their project costs.
“Government grants usually require some co-contribution, so this is a welcome bonus for our community.”
The programme is intended to improve local community participation and contribute to vibrant and viable communities.
“The only way to apply is through your Federal Member so groups should contact my office so we can send an application pack as soon as the program opens.”
